IN RE:
HB131 by Murr (Relating to excused absences from public school for certain students to visit a professional's workplace for a career investigation day.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Local Government Impact
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) assumes school districts would be required to adopt a policy in order to excuse a student's absence to visit a professional's workplace as a career investigation day. Districts would also be required to adopt a procedure to verify the student's visit at a professional's workplace. TEA assumes there may be costs to districts to adopt the procedure and verify student visits.
