No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would identify when a government body may not charge fees under the Public Information Act, including if requested information is a report required to be filed with the governmental body under Chapter 254 of the Election Code, or the governmental body fails to provide timely information that does not fall under this Act's exceptions.
According to the Office of the Attorney General, any work resulting from the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.
According to the Secretary of State, no significant fiscal implication is anticipated from the provisions of the bill.
