The bill would authorize TxDOT to collaborate with another state agency or a research division of a Texas institution of higher education to conduct the study. The provisions of the bill would expire on January 1, 2027.
Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the department's existing resources.
