IN RE:	HB1142 by Thierry (Relating to measures to assist students enrolled at public institutions of higher education who are homeless or who are or were in foster care.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require institutions of higher education to designate a liaison(s) to assist current and incoming students who are homeless and to provide these students priority housing assignments for the academic year and temporary housing assistance between break periods. It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
