IN RE:	HB1778 by Hinojosa (Relating to the issuance of specialty license plates to certain professional sports teams.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Transportation Code, Section 504.614, regarding issuance of license plates by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) for professional sports teams, to expand the definition of "professional sports team" to include a sports team that is a member or an affiliate of a member of Major League Soccer.

Based on the information provided by TxDMV, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the department's existing resources.
