No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Transportation Code, Section 393.007, relating to the amount of the civil penalty that may be imposed for an unauthorized sign placed in public road right-of-way.
Based on the analysis provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated. Based on information provided by the Comptroller of Public Accounts, implementation of the bill would have no impact to state revenue.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
Civil penalties collected under Transportation Code, Section 393.007, are deposited to the credit of the general fund of the municipality in which the violation occurred if collected by a municipal attorney, or to the credit of the county road and bridge fund of the county in which the violation occurred if collected by a district or county attorney.
