No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Education Code relating to the student building fees at The University of Texas at Dallas. Under provisions of the bill the Board of Regents may levy a student union fee not to exceed $100 per student for each regular semester and not to exceed $50 per student for each term of the summer semester for the sole purpose of financing, constructing, operating, maintaining, and improving student union buildings for The University of Texas at Dallas. Based on information provided by The University of Texas at Dallas, the additional revenue generated from the fees are estimated to be $1,982,000 in fiscal year 2025 based on the fees taking effect in the Fall 2024. Revenues in fiscal year 2026 and fiscal year 2027 are estimated to be $2,217,000 and $2,462,000 respectively.
