IN RE:
HB2345 by Guillen (Relating to definitions for purposes of gambling criminal offenses.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill defines "economic benefit" for purposes of gambling criminal offenses to mean direct winnings from a game of skill or luck. The bill also clarifies the definition of a private place to mean a place to which the public does not have access without a valid membership, special invitation, or prior grant of permission. It is assumed that any impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources would not be significant.
Local Government Impact
It is assumed that any fiscal impact to units of local government associated with enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement would not be significant.
