Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB2455 by King, Tracy O. (relating to an annual occupational medical examination for fire fighters.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require certified fire fighters to receive an annual occupational medical evaluation and would require the Texas Commission on Fire Protection to establish minimum standards for these annual medical evaluations. It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
The fiscal impact to units of local government cannot be determined because the frequency with which medical evaluations would be performed and at what cost is unknown.
