FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1379 by Parker (relating to a pilot program to increase the financial independence of foster youth who are transitioning to independent living.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the department to establish a pilot program to assist foster youth to achieve financial security and independence as the children transition to independent living.

It is assumed any costs to the Department of Family and Protective Services could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
