No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow a newly hired or assigned department employee to initiate an investigation of  abuse, neglect or exploitation of an elderly person or a person with a disability, or provide protective services only if, the employee is in the process of receiving training or is under the direct supervision of a person providing the training.

It is assumed that any costs to the Department of Family and Protective Services could be absorbed within existing resources.
