Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 2, 2023, the House Committee on International Relations & Economic Development met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Button, at 12:31 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Button; Ordaz; Bumgarner; Clardy; Hayes; and Plesa.

SCR 35

 

The chair laid out SCR 35, the companion to HCR 87.

 

Representative Clardy moved that SCR 35, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           None (0).

HB 2058

 

The chair laid out HB 2058 as pending business.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Ordaz moved that HB 2058, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
