Co-chair Senator Bryan Hughes called the meeting to order at 9:07 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
The following members arrived after the roll was called: Senator Lois Kolkhorst.
Co-chairs Senator Bryan Hughes and Representative Jared Patterson shared presiding duties.
Senator Paxton moved adoption of the joint committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.
Co-Chair Senator Hughes called the following witnesses to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).
At 11:19 Co-Chair Representative Patterson assumed presiding duties.
At 11:24 Co-Chair Senator Hughes resumed presiding duties.
At 11:56 Co-Chair Representative Patterson assumed presiding duties.
At 12:55 Co-Chair Senator Hughes resumed presiding duties.
Public witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.
The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.
There being no further business, at 1:12 PM Senator Hughes moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
