SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 60
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Virginia Cude
 
         WHEREAS, Countless lives were touched by the kindness and
  generosity of Virginia Lee Cude of Gilmer, who passed away on
  July 19, 2025, at the age of 81; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Henry and Ruby Keen, the former
  Virginia Keen was born on October 2, 1943, in Polk County and grew
  up with the companionship of six siblings, Wesley, Donald, John,
  A. B., Curtis, and Mary Katherine; she attended Splendora High
  School, where she met the love of her life, Archie Cude, during a
  basketball game in 1958; the couple's wedding on July 13, 1959,
  marked the beginning of a richly rewarding marriage that spanned
  more than six and a half decades; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Cude devoted herself to raising her four
  children, Gary, David, Regina, and Kimberly, and with the passing
  years, she had the privilege of seeing her family grow to include
  two additional generations; she delighted in supporting her
  children and grandchildren in all their endeavors and in bringing
  together her loved ones to enjoy her delicious cooking; in her
  leisure hours, she enjoyed traveling and playing bingo with
  Mr. Cude; and
         WHEREAS, Although Virginia Cude will be deeply missed,
  those who held her dear will forever remember the warmth and
  kindness she brought into their lives; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Virginia Lee Cude and extend sincere condolences to the
  members of her family: to her husband, Archie Cude; to her
  children and their spouses, Gary and Susan Cude, David and Cindy
  Cude, Regina Elliott, and Kimberly and Keith Baldwin; to her
  grandchildren and their spouses, Olivia and Erin Elliott, Lauren
  and Cody Nolan, and Colton Chandler; to her great-grandchildren,
  Beau Nolan, Colt Nolan, and Lynx Elliott; and to her other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Virginia Cude.
