A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the eligibility of certain production companies for a |
|
|
grant award under the moving image industry incentive program. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 485.022, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (e-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e-1) The office shall deny a grant application for a |
|
|
production company that at any time has produced a visual |
|
|
production depicting a child younger than 18 years of age engaged in |
|
|
sexual conduct or a sexual performance. In this section, "sexual |
|
|
conduct" and "sexual performance" have the meanings assigned by |
|
|
Section 43.25, Penal Code. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
