R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dale Woodkey, a valued member of the Pflugerville |
|
|
community and a friend to many, passed away on November 4, 2024; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, "Woody" Woodkey was a cofounder and owner of |
|
|
Three Legged Goat, a wine bar that opened in downtown Pflugerville |
|
|
in 2018; he gave back to his community as a member of the Rotary Club |
|
|
of Pflugerville, and he volunteered with a number of other civic |
|
|
organizations, including Backpack Friends and Healing with Horses |
|
|
Ranch; he also served on the executive committee of the |
|
|
Pflugerville Education Foundation; in all his endeavors, he |
|
|
benefited from the love and support of his wife, Marilyn Klassen; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Admired for his warmth, generosity, and keen sense |
|
|
of humor, Woody Woodkey lived a caring and purposeful life, and he |
|
|
leaves behind a record of service that his loved ones can remember |
|
|
with pride; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Dale Woodkey and |
|
|
extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and many friends; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Woody |
|
|
Woodkey. |
