R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Leadership Boerne is celebrating the 27th |
|
|
anniversary of its founding in 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1998, Leadership Boerne is a rigorous |
|
|
yearlong program that provides participants with opportunities to |
|
|
develop their leadership skills and learn more about issues |
|
|
affecting Boerne, its neighboring communities, and the state at |
|
|
large; this year's class is composed of 22 professionals |
|
|
representing a range of industries, all of whom share an interest in |
|
|
becoming more informed and engaged in civic life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Leadership Boerne is overseen by the Greater Boerne |
|
|
Chamber of Commerce, a dynamic organization of over 1,100 members; |
|
|
the chamber collaborates with businesses, elected officials, |
|
|
community leaders, and investment partners to promote business |
|
|
growth and to provide its members with opportunities for marketing, |
|
|
networking, and professional development; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For over 25 years, Leadership Boerne has played an |
|
|
important role in equipping citizens with the skills, knowledge, |
|
|
and confidence they need to contribute to the betterment of their |
|
|
community, and the program is indeed deserving of recognition as it |
|
|
marks this milestone in its history; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 27th anniversary of Leadership |
|
|
Boerne and extend to all those associated with the program sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Leadership Boerne as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
