R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mackenzie Foster has distinguished herself in her |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Terri Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative |
|
|
Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Foster has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Foster is a senior at Westlake High School, |
|
|
where she serves as the senior captain of the varsity golf team, the |
|
|
head golf representative to the Morgan's Message organization, and |
|
|
the vice president of the politics club; she has been involved with |
|
|
the National Charity League since 2019, and she is currently its |
|
|
senior class vice president; moreover, she has given generously of |
|
|
her time to a number of community causes, including the Jeremiah |
|
|
Program, Mobile Loaves & Fishes, and the Special Olympics; after |
|
|
graduating high school, she intends to pursue a degree in political |
|
|
science; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mackenzie Foster has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Mackenzie Foster for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo |
|
|
Wilson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Foster as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
