R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Mackenzie Foster has distinguished herself in her
  responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State
  Representative Terri Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative
  Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Foster has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
  in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
  service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
  issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Foster is a senior at Westlake High School,
  where she serves as the senior captain of the varsity golf team, the
  head golf representative to the Morgan's Message organization, and
  the vice president of the politics club; she has been involved with
  the National Charity League since 2019, and she is currently its
  senior class vice president; moreover, she has given generously of
  her time to a number of community causes, including the Jeremiah
  Program, Mobile Loaves & Fishes, and the Special Olympics; after
  graduating high school, she intends to pursue a degree in political
  science; and
         WHEREAS, Mackenzie Foster has performed her duties as a
  legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Mackenzie Foster for her service as a
  legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo
  Wilson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
  in all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Foster as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
