R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal |
|
|
milestones, and Julia Wiginton is participating in that joyful |
|
|
occasion with her graduation from Allen High School on May 23, |
|
|
2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Wiginton can reflect with great pride on the |
|
|
perseverance she has demonstrated in the pursuit of her goals |
|
|
throughout her high school career; a member of the National Honor |
|
|
Society, she was named an Eagle Scholar for achieving the College |
|
|
Readiness Standard, and she earned the Outstanding Forensic Science |
|
|
Award; she has further distinguished herself as a member of the |
|
|
volleyball team; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Wiginton has |
|
|
contributed to the Peer Assistance and Leadership program, |
|
|
mentoring elementary students and helping students with life |
|
|
challenges; she has held a leadership role with Hope Squad, |
|
|
assisting her peers with mental health struggles; she has also been |
|
|
involved in organizations such as Young Life Student Ministry and |
|
|
Young Life Capernaum; in the fall, she plans to study journalism at |
|
|
the University of Tennessee; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|
|
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and |
|
|
friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with |
|
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Julia Wiginton on her graduation |
|
|
from Allen High School and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Wiginton as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
