A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to certain documents required to be attached to |
|
|
legislation proposing the creation or expansion of an occupational |
|
|
license. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 318, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Section 318.004 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 318.004. STATEMENT REGARDING REVIEW OF LEGISLATION |
|
|
REGULATING AN OCCUPATION. (a) A bill that would create an |
|
|
occupational license or expand an existing occupational license |
|
|
must include the following attached to the bill: |
|
|
(1) a statement, prepared by the Legislative Budget |
|
|
Board, indicating whether a member of the legislature has requested |
|
|
a review of the proposed legislation under Section 325.023; and |
|
|
(2) if applicable, any report regarding the |
|
|
legislation prepared under that section. |
|
|
(b) An item required by Subsection (a) must be printed as |
|
|
part of the committee report for the bill and of all subsequent |
|
|
printings and remain with the bill throughout the legislative |
|
|
process, including submission to the governor. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
