A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a reliability plan for electric transmission service in |
|
|
the Permian Basin. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 39.167(a), Utilities Code, as added by |
|
|
Chapter 892 (H.B. 5066), Acts of the 88th Legislature, Regular |
|
|
Session, 2023, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) The [Not later than January 30, 2024, the] commission |
|
|
shall direct the independent organization certified under Section |
|
|
39.151 for the ERCOT power region to develop a reliability plan |
|
|
under Section 39.166 for the Permian Basin region and update the |
|
|
plan every five years. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 39.167(c), Utilities Code, as added by |
|
|
Chapter 892 (H.B. 5066), Acts of the 88th Legislature, Regular |
|
|
Session, 2023, is repealed. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
