SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 241

WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced by a great and enduring love, Shaye and Chris Kopec are celebrating their 37th wedding anniversary on March 12, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Chris Kopec and the former Shaye Wilbanks were united in matrimony in 1988, and they are further bonded by their deep connection to their Christian beliefs; over the years, their family has grown to include two sons, Zachary and Alexander and his wife, Katie; and

WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Kopec serves as the director of environmental health and safety at Siemens, and Mrs. Kopec is a senior associate at Rebecca Creek Elementary School; during their leisure time, they enjoy going on vacations to Los Cabos, Mexico; and

WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past 37 years, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th Legislature, hereby congratulate Shaye and Chris Kopec on their 37th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Kopec as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
