SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Halff, infrastructure consulting firm, on the grand
  occasion of the company's 75th anniversary; and
         WHEREAS, Founded in Dallas in 1950, the firm began as the
  one-man operation of Dr. Albert H. Halff and quickly grew to
  become a trusted authority on hydraulics, hydrology, and
  floodplain management; it has since expanded to provide 24 unique
  services with solutions in infrastructure, mobility,
  placemaking, and water; Halff is one of the nation's most
  reputable infrastructure consulting firms with 14 Texas offices
  and 18 locations in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, and
  Oklahoma; and
         WHEREAS, Halff has helped to shape infrastructure in the
  Lone Star State by partnering with cities, counties, and regional
  and state agencies to direct impactful projects including
  roadway improvements, flood mitigation, water and wastewater
  systems, and parks and trails; the firm was honored to support
  Texas' first statewide flood plan and designed the Mill Creek
  Tunnel in Dallas, the largest stormwater tunnel in the United
  States, in addition to providing design and construction
  management for the President George Bush Turnpike; and
         WHEREAS, Halff's commitment to improving lives and
  communities extends beyond its business of infrastructure and
  includes the generous efforts of its employees, who established
  the nonprofit Halff Community Initiative; since 2017, the
  employee-led organization has contributed more than $930,000 to
  charitable endeavors and provides support to more than 400
  charitable groups; and
         WHEREAS, Halff has grown from fewer than 500 employees to
  more than 1,500 in the previous decade, and it has been honored
  for the past three years as a Top 100 Firm by Engineering
  News-Record; the company's accolades and success reflect its
  proud legacy of serving Texans and communities across the nation
  through innovative engineering solutions; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby commend Halff president and chief executive
  officer Jessica Baker Daily and the company's many dedicated
  employees for their contributions to the Lone Star State and
  extend to them congratulations on 75 years of success and best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the firm as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
