R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Ibrahima Kande has distinguished himself in his
  responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State
  Senator Roland Gutierrez during the 89th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Kande has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
  including facilitating meetings with constituents and lobbyists,
  tracking and reviewing legislation, and providing research-based
  insights to support stakeholder discussions; in addition to gaining
  valuable experience in the field of public service, he has learned
  more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens
  of the Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Kande has
  worked as an executive assistant and a lead presenter at Joint Base
  McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst; he also served as an administrative
  coordinator at deployment locations throughout the Middle East, and
  he completed an associate's degree in business administration at
  the Community College of the Air Force; before he was honorably
  discharged in 2024, he earned two Commendation Medals and three
  Achievement Medals; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Kande is a senior at Texas State University,
  where he studies leadership and has previously served as a
  noncommissioned officer and an administration cadre in the school's
  Reserve Officers' Training Corps; following his graduation in May
  2025, he plans to complete the Texas Law Pipeline Program at The
  University of Texas at Austin School of Law; and
         WHEREAS, Ibrahima Kande has performed his duties as a
  legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
  hereby commend Ibrahima Kande for his service as a legislative aide
  in the office of State Senator Roland Gutierrez and congratulate
  him on his graduation from Texas State University; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Kande as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  Senate.
