No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the chief appraiser to include the following information in the database for property-tax-related information for a property located in a school district that is subject to recapture and the school district has taken measures to reduce the district's local revenue for the school year beginning in the current tax year: 1) the estimated percentage of taxes for the maintenance and operations (M&O) the school district is required pay in recapture, 2) the estimated percentage of the taxes for M&O that will remain in the school district, and 3) a statement describing the percentage of M&O taxes that will go to the state and the percentage that will remain in the school district.
