No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to establish a separate provider type for the enrollment and reimbursement of local public health entities under the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
