No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
According to the Office of Court Administration, there could be an impact to units of local government that are not exempt from the provisions of the bill to the extent that licensed court interpreters charge a higher fee than unlicensed ones. A cost cannot be determined due to the rates of licensed interpreters being unknown.
