No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, other than the cost of publication.
The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $191,689.
The resolution would propose a constitutional amendment prohibiting the use of state funds to pay for the obligations of a local public retirement system. According to the Comptroller of Public Accounts, there are no current or future state obligations to fund a local retirement system, and therefore the resolution would have no fiscal implications to the state.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
