House Bill 1006 amends the Human Resources Code to set forth certain exemptions from work requirements for persons receiving assistance through the financial assistance and service programs and to require the Department of Human Services, the Texas Workforce Commission, and local workforce development boards to develop a plan to provide employment outreach services to those exempted. The bill also establishes criteria for persons excepted for good cause from work or employment activities.
