House Bill 1311 amends the Texas Geoscience Practice Act, Occupations Code, to continue the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists. The bill, among other provisions, revises certain licensing requirements, increases the maximum administrative penalty for a geoscientist's violation of the act, and requires the governor to designate a member of the board as its presiding officer.
