            House Bill 1361 amends the Education Code to require each public institution of higher education to designate at least one employee to act as a liaison officer for current or incoming students who are the parent or guardian of a child younger than 18 years of age. The bill sets out information to be provided to students by such a liaison officer and requires an institution to submit to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board an annual report regarding enrolled students who fit that criteria.
