House Bill 1471 amends the Local Government Code to transfer from the county clerk to the county tax assessor-collector all of the duties associated with the collection and maintenance of occupation taxes owed to a county. The bill also allows the county tax assessor-collector to submit the monthly report relating to licenses issued on taxes paid to the state to the comptroller electronically if the comptroller authorizes such electronic submissions.
