Under previous law, the state Medicaid program was prohibited from paying the Medicare coinsurance or deductible amount for certain services provided to an individual who was dually eligible for Medicaid and Medicare coverage if the reimbursement rate for a comparable service under Medicaid was less than the rate under Medicare. House Bill 1502 repeals the provision of the Human Resources Code that contains that prohibition.
