House Bill 2019 amends the Health and Safety Code to create the Texas Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council. The council is required to inform state leaders of issues and policies relevant to meeting the needs of people with a traumatic brain injury and their primary family caregivers and to make certain recommendations to the Texas Department of Health, including methods to promote education, training, and information about traumatic brain injury and programs and innovative approaches to providing services and support to persons with a traumatic brain injury and their families.
