House Bill 2074 amends the Education Code to allow the Temple Junior College District to establish the East Williamson County Multi-Institution Teaching Center in conjunction with one or more of the following: Tarleton State University, Tarleton State University System Center--Central Texas, Texas State Technical College--Waco, or another public or private college or university. The bill requires the center to provide coordinated higher education opportunities to the residents of the region where the center is located by offering academic credit courses and programs from the center's member institutions. The bill also requires those member institutions to work with the local community to identify and offer courses that will meet the region's educational and workforce development goals.
