House Bill 2100 amends the Government Code to authorize the Department of Public Safety to pay its employees classified as Trooper Trainee, Probationary Trooper, and Trooper I at rates that exceed the maximum rates designated for those positions in the position classification schedule prescribed by the General Appropriations Act for the 2012-2013 state fiscal biennium by up to five percent until September 1, 2014, and by up to 10 percent after that date.
