House Bill 2171 amends Health and Safety Code provisions relating to the continued inclusion in the state immunization registry of an individual's information that was included in the registry before the individual's 18th birthday with the consent of the individual's parent, managing conservator, or guardian. Among other provisions, the bill extends the period of time during which the individual's information will be included in the registry unless withdrawn and establishes requirements for the Department of State Health Services in providing notice to the individual regarding the registry and the individual's right to withdraw or renew consent.
