House Bill 2259 authorizes a municipality with a population of more than 50,000 and less than 400,000 that is operated by a city manager and has not previously participated in a public retirement system for municipal police officers created by state statute to adopt a police pension fund. The act establishes certain requirements related to the administration, operation, and benefit structure of the plan.
