House Bill 2345 amends the Agriculture Code to create the Texas Organic Agricultural Industry Advisory Board, staffed by and attached administratively to the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). The bill requires the advisory board to review and provide guidance on rules impacting the Texas organic agricultural products industry, and to assist the TDA in assessing the status of such products, developing a public education and awareness campaign regarding such products, and developing recommendations to the agriculture commissioner and legislature to promote and expand the industry.
