            Current law prohibits a person from using, for purposes of political advertising, certain materials produced by or under the direction of a house, committee, or agency of the legislature.  House Bill 2377 amends the Government Code to exempt from the provision a photograph of a current or former member of the legislature obtained from such a legislative entity that is used in accordance with terms and conditions established by that entity.  The bill authorizes a legislative entity to charge the fair market value for a photograph produced by or under the direction of the entity.
