            House Bill 2577 amends the Penal Code to redesignate the offense of unlawful use of a  criminal instrument as unlawful use of a criminal instrument or mechanical security device and to make the conduct that constitutes the offense apply to a mechanical security device in the same manner as it applies to a criminal instrument.
