            House Bill 2588 amends the Health and Safety Code to require the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission to adopt and to modify, as necessary, a definition of "Alzheimer's disease and related disorders." The bill requires a licensed convalescent or nursing home or assisted living facility that advertises, markets, or otherwise promotes that the institution or facility provides services to residents with Alzheimer's disease or related disorders to disclose whether the institution or facility is licensed or certified for the provision of specialized care and treatment or the provision of personal care services, as applicable, of residents with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders.
