House Bill 2638 amends the Human Resources Code to include in the duties of the Dallas County court services department the responsibility of monitoring, in addition to collecting, receiving, and disbursing, child and spousal support payments that are required by court order to be made to the department. In addition, the district and county courts administrator is required to collect a monthly fee not to exceed $3 for monitoring, as well as receiving and disbursing, the support payments.
