House Bill 2785 creates the Select Committee on Economic Development to recommend to the legislature an economic development policy for the state and perform certain other duties. The committee is composed of eight public members and four legislative members appointed by the governor, lieutenant governor, and speaker of the house of representatives, as appropriate. The bill requires the committee to submit a report and provides for the staffing, funding, and abolishment of the committee.
