Previous law required the impoundment of a vehicle used in the commission of a highway racing offense that results in property damage or personal injury. House Bill 2899 amends the Transportation Code to require the impoundment of a vehicle used in the commission of any highway racing offense, regardless of the result, or in certain criminal conduct involving a reckless driving exhibition.
