House Bill 2923 amends the Education Code to allow the board of regents of Texas Southern University to charge students at the university a medical services fee not to exceed $35 per student per semester or $17.50 per summer session term for operation, maintenance, improvement, and equipping of a medical service facility and providing students medical services. The authorization applies to fees imposed for a semester or summer session beginning on or after May 31, 1997. The act also includes provisions relating to administering the fee.
