Enrolled Bill Summary

House Bill 2933 amends the Education Code to allow the Texas Southern University board of regents to charge students at the university a recreational facility fee not to exceed $50 per student per semester or summer session for construction, operation, maintenance, improvement, and equipping of a recreational facility or program at the university. The authorization applies to fees imposed for a semester or summer session beginning on or after the act's effective date. The act also includes requirements relating to administering the fee.
