House Bill 2937 amends the Education Code to require the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to develop and implement a pilot program under which a licensed hospital, in partnership with a public school district, may offer dual credit courses to high school students enrolled in the district. The bill requires the coordinating board to select one licensed hospital in Hidalgo County that meets certain criteria to participate in the pilot program and sets out provisions relating to the organization and costs of the program.
