House Bill 336 amends the Election Code to require a school district that is located wholly or partly in a municipality with a population of more than 50,000 and with a student enrollment of more than 15,000 to post on the school district's Internet website a campaign finance report filed by a member of the board of trustees, a candidate for the office, or a specific‑purpose committee supporting, opposing, or assisting a candidate for or member of a board of trustees. The bill requires such reports to be available to the public on the website not later than the fifth business day after the date the report is filed with the school district and allows certain address information to be redacted for Internet posting. Access to such reports is in addition to the public's access to the information through other electronic or print distribution of the information.
