House Bill 3424 amends the Occupations Code to revise training requirements for commissioned security officers and personal protection officers by including self‑defense tactics and certain in‑person instruction in the required training. The bill also requires an applicant for a security officer commission to complete the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory test, the results of which may be used to evaluate their psychological fitness.
